Before you buy generic Levitra from the online pharmacy, be sure
to read all of the information below. You should also consult
with your doctor to find out if you are a good candidate for this
erectile disfuntion medication. Be sure to tell your doctor about
any other prescription medicines or over the counter supplements
that you are currently taking. Before you buy generic Levitra
or any other prescription medications from the online pharmacy,
you should have had a fairly recent physical examination by your
physician.
Common uses
Levitra is an oral medication that is used for the treatment of
ED (erectile dysfunction). This is a condition where the penis
does not harden and expand during intimate relations, or when
a man cannot maintain an erection sufficient for intercourse.
A man who experiences difficulty in getting or keeping an erection
should seek help from his doctor as these types of problems could
indicate a more serious underlying condition such as cardiovascular
disease. Generic Levitra may be able to help men who have ED get
and keep an erection.
Once a man has completed the intimate activity, blood flow to
the penis will decrease and the erection should go away.
Directions
Levitra comes in tablet form and contains 20 mg. vardenafil HCl.
This medication shoud be taken orally.
For most men, the recommended starting dose for generic Levitra
is 10 mg. This ED medication should be taken by mouth about 60
minutes prior to intimate relations. The dose may be increased
or decreased depending on your reaction to the medication. Generic
Levitra can be increaded to a maximum recommended dose of 20 mg
or decreased to 5 mg. The maximum recommended dosing frequency
is once per day. Levitra can be taken with or without food. You
should only take the minimum amount required in order to gain
the results that are needed in order to maintain intimate relations
with your partner.
A starting dose of 5 mg Levitra should be considered in individuals
having passed 65 years of age. This starting dose is also recommended
for men who have moderate hepatic impairment, with a maximum dosage
of 10 mg. The dosage of generic Levitra may also require adjustment
downwards for men who receive certain CYP3A4 inhibitors, such
as ketoconazole, itraconazole, ritonavir, indinavir and erythromycin.
Precautions
In men for whom intimate relations is not recommended because
of their underlying cardiovascular status, any treatment for erectile
dysfunction, including Levitra, generally should not be used.
You should not not take generic Levitra if you take nitrates to
treat angina, or if you use recreational drugs ("poppers"), which
can contain nitrates. Nor should you use Levitra if you use alpha
blockers - the combination could make you dizzy and you could
faint.
Do not use Levitra if you have been told by your healthcare provider
to not have intimate relations because of health problems or if
you are allergic to generic Levitra or any of its ingredients.
Treatment for ED should generally be used with caution by individuals
with anatomical deformation of the penis or by individuals who
have conditions that may predispose them to priapism.
The use of Levitra offers no protection against sexually transmitted
diseases. Generic Levitra is only for men with ED. Levitra is
not for women or children.
The safety and efficacy of Levitra used in combination with other
treatments for erectile dysfunction have not been studied. Therefore,
the use of such combinations is not recommended.
Before you buy or start taking generic Levitra tell your doctor
about all the medicines you take including prescription and non-
prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
Before taking Levitra, tell your doctor about all your medical
problems including heart problems, low, or uncontrolled high-,
blood pressure, stroke, or any family members have a rare heart
condition known as prolongation of the QT interval, liver or kidney
problems, retinitis pigmentosa, stomach ulcers, bleeding problem
or blood cell problems.
